About
Loire Valley Classics is run by a husband and wife team who set up a touring base in the Loire Valley to realise a dream when Guy (the husband) retired after 24 years in the military. They have been touring this region in their own classic cars for more than 20 years.
They realised after breaking down one day that there wasn't really any help available with experience of old cars.
This gave them an idea. They could provide that safety net for those who wished to bring their classics to France using Guy’s extensive knowledge and experience of most things mechanical.
Loire Valley Classics, have restored a farmhouse with 4 en suite B&B bedrooms on 5 acres of beautiful land. This allows them ample space to accommodate tourists with their cars and provide a workshop for them to repair (if they can, if not, the team will be happy to help!) their own cars.
Their one-bedroom, self-contained gite has been very popular since opening 10 years ago, with guests returning year after year - and often becoming good friends. Another option is their four-bedroom farmhouse with B&B for those who want that extra treat.
Loire Valley have just completed an in-ground pool to further enhance your experience.On top of this, the team have used their passion for racing and building cars to create an historic race car team.
Their in-house qualified chef, Sarah, can provide incredible meals for guests on request.
They have created a homely, stress-free environment to relax and enjoy good food, comfortable accommodation and the ideal base from which to explore.
Racing
They also run a historic race team competing in sixties' racing all over the UK and Europe. This is of particular interest to those own and tour in historic cars.
The Local Area
The Loire Valley Classics are based 15km south of loches in the Indre et Loire
Loches is a royal city steeped in history with a chateau and twice weekly markets on Wednesday and Saturday.
